Lake Lazer Eye Center is proud to be the first LASIK center in Michigan to use Chronos ABRS. It’s important to also note that Chronos Automated Binocular Refraction System is Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant and easy to adjust for patient comfort.
Your current prescription can be uploaded and compared to your new prescription to help you make better purchasing decisions. Our team can refract with greater efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that you receive an eyeglasses prescription that helps you see your best. Multifunction capabilities allow patients to complete the exam without moving to multiple instruments, leading to a much quicker and more efficient testing process. Unlike traditional refraction, Chronos performs acuity testing for both eyes at the same time (binocular), to better simulate your vision in the real world. In addition to fully automated testing, the new Chronos technology offers a number of other important advantages: SightPilot™ simplifies the user interface to provide a step-by-step guide through the refraction process. At each step, the operator is given instructions to proceed with the refraction, based on the patient’s response.
Called SightPilot®, the guided refraction software can be controlled via laptop, desktop or tablet, and easily navigated through simple on-screen prompts. The fully automated Chronos system is guided by intuitive testing software that helps our practice easily navigate a quick and precise examination.
